Day 166

Yes it's late but there were some things that were more important this evening.  All the drawings were done before midnight.

I started a few drawings today but didn't finish most of them. The first is Susie cat on the sofa

One I started of the dresser but the dog got in the way

Day 156

Well I was going to write today that I was going to excuse myself from day 156 on the basis that, only two hours ago I threw up my entire Pret A Manger lunch and then some.  I'm not sure I'll be buying from them again soon, whether they were responsible or not.

I came home from work half an hour early because of the rising nausea and dizziness, feeling guilty for leaving my cloud hedging behind.  But the guilt was gone as soon as my halloumi and falafel wrap reappeared (don't think about it).

Rest pause...

So I was about to write my excuse post but instead I went to Brushes (an app) and started doodling cloud hedge clouds, and sheep, that look like clouds.

Then I did this: A quote from my unforgiving but incredible A level biology teacher, Mr Harvey.

And then I was handed this: a special 'elixir' for upset stomachs. It was so interesting looking I had to draw it, and it kind of worked because while I was lost in drawing mode I felt much better!

You know what's awesome? I have now done this drawing challenge long enough that it no longer feels like a chore.

Sorry for the caps but this is majorly important and one of the main reasons I started this in the first place.  Seriously I feel like I haven't even done any work this evening :)

Yay :)

Time: 1hr 10mins

Ps if anyone wants to know what cloud hedging is it's this:

Day 154

Portraits from magazines. The first one went wrong so I started again. I still find it really easy to get lost along the length of the nose. I also realised the jaw line is a big part of what makes someone recognisable.

Day 153

This evening I drew my mum and some things on the table. I can't tell you how much I love this new pen!

While she was reading. It doesn't look much like her because She doesn't normally wear glasses and I couldn't see much of her eyes as she was looking down at the book.  Eyes are very important in capturing someone.

Even though this is wonky it's definitely her.  The text is something she said while I was drawing her (it's to do with bell ringing. She's a massive campanology geek). It took 22 mins to draw.

Sweet chilli sauce

The water jug. I like how the glass bends the pattern of the table cloth.
