My friend Alice nominated herself to be my portrait guinea pig. I know her smile very well so I can tell that I've somewhat captured her likeness.
However it's much more accurate on the left side than the right (so I've done a second photo concealing the right side showing me that the left side definitely looks like her). I think I've drawn her eyes too far apart because I've drawn them as if seen face on when in face her head is turned slightly.
The nose and mouth were a pain but I'm glad I kept rubbing out and redrawing them until I was happy. What's the point in adding the detail when you know there's a mistake in the basic structure? Shame I missed the mistake in the eye though.
Anyway, Alice, this is just attempt number 1!
